Cell viability, proliferation and citotoxicity

Descrizione Azione

Trehalose, a non-reducing disaccharide composed of two glucose molecules, is widely found in lower plants, invertebrates and microorganisms. Trehalose is the main energy storage substance for many insects and fungi. In addition, trehalose has a non-specific protective effect on organisms and biological macromolecules. This special property makes it widely used in many fields such as cosmetics, food industry, medicine and agriculture. This kit specifically hydrolyzes trehalose into two molecules of glucose by trehalose enzyme, and then detects the glucose content by the GOD-POD method. Control well is set up to eliminate the influence of the glucose background value, thereby determining the trehalose content in the sample. It has the characteristics of strong specificity and high sensitivity.

Triglycerides (TG) can be hydrolyzed by lipoprotein lipase into glycerol and free fatty acids. Glycerol produces glycerol-3-phosphate and ADP under the catalysis of glycerol kinase (GK). Glycerol-3-phosphate produces hydrogen peroxide under the action of glycerol phosphate oxidase (GPO). In the presence of 4-aminoantipyrine and phenol, hydrogen peroxide is catalyzed by peroxidase (POD) to produce quinones which is proportional to the content of TG.

Tryptophan (Trp) is an essential amino acid involved in a variety of biosynthetic processes. It is not only involved in the synthesis of a variety of proteins, but also the precursor of many bioactive substances. The enzyme catalyzes Trp in a series of reactions to produce hydrogen peroxide, which forms a red complex with the fluorescent probe. The fluorescence value of the sample at the excitation wavelength of 535 nm and the emission wavelength of 587 nm can be measured to calculate the content of Trp in the sample.
